2025 TIMTOS Taipei International Machine Tool Show

From March 3 to 8, 2025, the 30th Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS 2025) was grandly held at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Halls 1 and 2, as well as TWTC Hall 1. The exhibition was jointly organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI).
This year’s show attracted over 1,000 exhibitors across 6,100 booths, drawing 4,163 international buyers from 90 countries, a 5.1% increase compared to the previous edition. The top visiting countries included India, Japan, China, Korea, and Malaysia.
The theme of TIMTOS 2025 was “Integrate to Innovate”, focusing on three major areas: AI and robotics, the future of smart manufacturing, and green sustainability. Six major trend sectors were highlighted:
-
Precision machine tools and key components
-
Comprehensive automation and smart manufacturing
-
Digital twins and integrated solutions
-
Additive manufacturing technology
-
Cross-industry applications
In the AI and robotics section, companies such as HIWIN, CPC, and Main Drive showcased harmonic reducers, joint modules, and production line capabilities designed for humanoid robots, underscoring Taiwan’s crucial role in medical and service industry supply chains.
The exhibition also emphasized smart manufacturing and carbon reduction. Companies like Heidenhain and Mitsubishi Taiwan presented digital twin solutions to enhance efficiency and safety, while balancing intelligence with sustainability.
In addition, TIMTOS 2025 launched the ESG Action! series of events, which included carbon neutrality consultations (“Dr. Net Zero”), guided tours of smart manufacturing, and thematic forums. These initiatives helped industries better understand new energy-saving and carbon reduction strategies as well as international standards.
Despite the digital age, the exhibition highlighted the enduring importance of face-to-face interaction. Fair Friend Group (FFG) secured over 100 orders from industries such as automotive, aerospace, semiconductors, railways, and energy. Quaser signed orders worth NT$1 billion in hydrogen energy and medical equipment sectors, while Tongtai expanded into the semiconductor market, strengthening its ultrasonic machining and additive manufacturing capabilities.
Meanwhile, a procurement matchmaking program organized by TAITRA facilitated 315 one-on-one meetings between 75 buyers from 22 countries and 102 exhibitors, effectively boosting international business connections.
TIMTOS 2025 not only reflected on the exhibition’s 30-year journey of growth but also heralded “Integrate to Innovate” as a call for the industry’s future development. Through exhibitions and exchanges in AI, automation, and green technologies, Taiwan’s machinery industry once again demonstrated its pivotal position in the global supply chain and opened a new chapter in smart manufacturing.
